The Welch family operates a clean and modern full service facility in one location, with a friendly country atmosphere. Turnout pastures, round pens, foaling stalls, treadmills, breeding barn indoor and outdoor arena are some of the many amenities. The facilities offer fresh air, summer fun and a winter wonderland for all to enjoy. We're a family-owned and operated facility. We are a complete facility with newly added updates. Complete foaling barn that includes 7 foaling stalls with access to cameras. Ultrasounding / palpation chute with foal pen at side with easy access to foaling and mare stalls. Indoor pen with 9-10 stalls. Treadmill access. South wing that includes 12 stalls that can be used as foaling stalls during foaling season. All of the above is under 1 roof.

Fed Ex account set up for on site pick up and delivery of shipped semen.
On call photographer and ad / graphic designer that visits the farm for photo shoots. Her work has been featured in the Appaloosa Journal as well as the newly released book “The Legendary Appaloosa”
Trailer electric hook up available at the barn for overnight stays or layovers.
Easy access to OSU Veterinary Hospital 30-45 minutes away. Recoveries and layovers welcome.
Our reproduction vet is on call 24 /7 for us and usually visits the farm at least 3 times a week during breeding season.
Credentials Tom Welch (owner and trainer) has over 25 years horse experience. He specializes in breaking, breeding, nutrition, halter, barrels, pole bending, training, and conditioning. Also, he earned a degree from The Ohio State University in Horse Management Technology. Tom has specialization credits in fields of Breaking, Breeding, Nutrition, Farrier, Driving Training, Showmanship, and Riding Equitation.
Tom has successfully shown on the open horse show circuit for many years in various classes with different breeds. Also, has shown and currently shows on the Appaloosa circuit with three Reserve National point titles and eleven Top Ten National Year end. Six Top Ten National & World Finalist. He finished the 2002 show season with three different horses in the year end Top Ten in the Nation in three different events. Finished 2005 with 3 National and World Show Finalist, 3 ROM’s, 1 Superior, 1 National Top Ten Year End Finalist. 2006, Nationals—3 Top Ten Finishes, 2 ROM’s, Top five finish at the 2006 Worlds and 2 year end Top Ten Finalists. Top Ten Finalist 2007 World Show.
